It Came Out!

My tooth came out at seven o'clock last night. I wiggled and wiggled and wiggled my tooth. My tooth fell out into my mouth. "What was in my mouth?" I wondered. I put the tooth on to my hand and got a tissue to put it on. "Yay it's out," I yelled.

Anzac Day

We have spent the week talking about Anzac Day. Today we published our Anzac Day stories. We made delicious Anzac biscuits and we made an Anzac wreath. We will remember the soldiers who died in the wars.

Ethan's Daddy comes visiting

Today Ethan's Daddy brought along a wonderful collection of rocks to share with us. Thank you, thank you, thank you!  He has been collecting them for many years and he knew we would love to see them. They are now in the Allen Centre where a display will be set up.

Beat the ball

Yesterday we learnt how to throw a ball so today we played Beat the ball so that we could practice our throws. We saw some very good throws but now we need to work at our catching skills!

Tomato picking

Today at Garden Club we picked tomatoes. Alex showed us how to carefully pick them. Afterwards we weeded the tunnel house and of course we each took home a bag of tomatoes. Great weeding Edith!

Hi ho, hi ho, it's back to the Allen Centre we go!

It was wonderful to return to the Allen Centre today now that all the classrooms are back in use. We greeted Mrs Stedman with delight. It was good to choose new books and then we happily shared our new books with a buddy. Some of us were still sharing the books at lunchtime!

Seeds from Sam

Sam raced into Room 9 this morning with this collection of seeds. We especially loved the seed head from the swan plant. I wonder if any of these seeds would grow. What a great collection Sam!

A huge collection of spiders

Gosh look what Ethan brought to school today - heaps and heaps of spiders.  He caught them around his garden. Do you know what sort of spiders they are Ethan? We wonder how you will feed them all. What a big family!

The Rail Trail

When we started it was just straight. We went over lots of bridges. When we found a great spot for lunch we stopped and ate. We had a great time.

Thursday sharing

Ted brought along a huge sunflower this morning. How many seeds do you think there are? We are going to save the seeds until spring and then we can plant them and take them home to our own gardens. Kerah told us all about her visit to the Butterfly House and the Penguins reading group had a final play to share with us. Happy holidays everyone!

Thinking about books

We had a book exchange yesterday. Everyone brought along a book and we could exchange it as many times as we wanted. Look at our new books. We also had a teachers "Guess my favourite book" challenge.Mmm we wondered which book was Mr Marshall's favourite.

On Sunday Mum, me and my brother Finn found this horn from our goat Jock .Isn't it amazing!
It is quite sharp on the bottom.
