Another performance from the Room 9 Little Theatre

Today the Seals presented a new play in the Room 9 Little Theatre. "Picnic Weather" made us think about the signs in the sky that tell us what the weather will be like. The play was followed by some very tricky questions from the performers. Well done children!

More soccer skills

We were really pleased to have another soccer session with Rahan. We worked at our dribbling and played some exciting games.

End of the day sing song with our guitar players

In Room 9 we love to sing. Every Monday afternoon at the end of the day we get out all the guitars and have a great sing song. Today the guitar players were using their new G chord.

We were all very pleased to see Dan arrive back from his exciting adventures and he has so much to share with us. Of course we were very pleased to welcome Myah to Room 9 and already she is a shining star!

Letters from and to our penpals

There was great excitement in Room 9 when the new penpal letters arrived. We read and enjoyed each others' letters and then immediately started on our reply letters.

More Soccer with Tom and Rahan

We have great fun learning soccer skills with Tom and Rahan. Today we played Bib Tag and Last Man Standing.

In Last Man Standing everybody dribbles a ball around the hall, the aim of the game is to kick other peoples ball out and protect your own ball. The last person in with their ball is the winner. Today's winners were Maddie and Jessie: good soccer skills guys!

Here we are doing some cool down exercises.

We are looking forward to our next session with Tom and Rahan.

Hockey with Anna

Hooray! Anna was here today to run through some hockey skills with us and the sun was shining!

We worked on our passing skills: step forward to the person we are passing to and point the stick in the direction of the person we are passing to.

Then we tried a sweep pass: step down low and sweep the stick thorough.

Next we had some mini games; focusing today on marking an opponent.

It is important to find some space so our team mates have someone to pass the ball to.

It was a good practice; thanks Anna we have learnt some great hockey skills!

We love to make music

On Monday the guitar club meets at lunchtime and at the end of the day we always like to get the guitars out again and have a good sing song. Today the guitar club children started the learn the calypso strum and they were able to demonstrate it to the rest of the class. Keep working at it children.
