A new friend for Room 9

Mrs Belinda Cormack came visiting in Room 9 yesterday. She will be teaching Room 9 while Mrs Wright is over the seas and far away. Mrs Cormack is lovely and she is really looking forward to meeting you. Keep shining Room 9.

I made it!

At the triathlon some children went in teams and some went as individual competitors. Look at the joy on Brianna's face when she competed all three tasks. What a champion! Read the comments on Wednesday to find out how she felt.

Friday was the day of the Junior Syndicate Triathlon. We swam, biked and ran. Look at Caitlin sprinting to the finish line. Well done everyone!

Two fine farmers come visiting

Today Kay and Lisa came to Room 9 to share with the Junior Syndicate. We found out about growing sheep and cattle on the Taieri and fruit and vegetables. It is a great place to farm but sometimes there are problems like floods or not enough water! Thank you for sharing with us.

Ezekiel is the player of the day

Today the house sports competitions began. After playing a magnificent game, Ezekiel was chosen as player of the day for Wanaka House. We are very proud of you Zeke.

Ten Cent Book Sale

What a wonderful Ten Cent Book sale we had today in our Allen Centre. Children left the library with arms full of books. "Can we really keep all these books?" asked Finn. You certainly can!

What fun Isla and Polly are having collecting data, making tally charts, drawing a bar graph and writing conclusions. It is even more fun when the title of the investigation is the colours of chocolate pebbles in a box. Well done girls.
