Ice Challenge for Mr Marshall
I'm up on the climbing frame pouring ice all over Mr Marshall. It was very fun.
Mr Marshall was cold after that for a long time. I'm right at the start with the blue T-shrt.

Way back home
On Tuesday we watched a video of a wee boy that had to find his way home. I made a rocket, the earth, the moon and a ladder out of play dough the same as in the video. Belinda made an alien and a spaceship too.

A beautiful afternoon for hockey
We loved racing out into the sunshine this afternoon to join Room 10 for our hockey session. We pushed the ball, we stopped the ball and we kept our knees bent. Our skills are definitely improving.

What can we do!
The Little Blue Penguins at Brighton Beach are in danger from dogs. It makes us very sad. Brighton Beach is close to our school and we are determined to do something to help. But what can we do! Today we brainstormed with a buddy.

A beautiful day for an inter house challenge
The whole school gathered on the courts to listen as Mr Marshall explained how the challenge would be run. The four houses would compete against each other in age groups. Each team had two girls and two boys who had to work together to complete the challenge. Room 9 raced into the activities with great excitement, leaping over fences, clambering under tables, hauling heavy sacks, carefully tip toeing across a ladder and even hauling heavy tyres. What a wonderful afternoon. I wonder which house won?

A final competition and then goodbye!
After lunch the paper plane flying competition began. The winners had a great design and impressive throwing skills. Finally we all said goodbye before our pen pals boarded their double decker bus to return to Dunedin.
