A busy morning

It was a wet playtime today so we watched Ethan's DVD about animal life in the Namibian Desert. Then during reading the Penguins reading group read an article about rainbow writing. They enjoyed trying it themselves. They will teach the rest of the class on Friday. Rylan and Ted continued working at their Explorer of the World challenge and the House Art Competition was held in the hall.

A blog post from Olivia

Olivia worked hard during writing time today to complete her blog post. We will be cheering for you at the Talent Quest Olivia!

This is an especially interesting flag for us at the moment!

Mmm look carefully at this flag. You should know what country it belongs to. If you don't know it have a look on our theme table!

What a surprise!

On Thursday  it was the talent quest auditions. Olivia and Edith and Emma in Room ten
were doing guitar. Emma was playing the guitar. Edith and Olivia were singing. Mrs Bellamy said you are in the Talent Quest but try and learn it off by heart. Demi is doing Jazz dancing with her Jazz group.

Explorer of the World continues

Today we looked  closely at a daffodil. Very carefully we took it apart right down to the stamens and the  pistil. We displayed all the parts. Next time we will use the dino lite.

A city in the desert

Bridget and Scott have been telling us about what it is like living with a desert climate.  We decided to look closely at where they live. The buildings are amazing but we kept thinking about how hot it must be. They are very pleased to have air conditioning.

Extra for Experts

This week's extra for experts was "Around the world we go to Brazil".
Look at how many  children are challenging themselves with this week's extra homework.
Well done children! You found brilliant facts, and you drew wonderful  flags.
