Today we had hockey practice. It was fun  Gabby scored 1 goal and Bridgette nearly scored a goal.

Explorer of the World Challenge

This afternoon we finished our Explorer of the World challenge - creating something beautiful out of discarded coloured paper. Come to Room 9 and you will certainly see some stunning colourful collage.

What did Ethan see?

The Lions Reading group was reading a Junior Journal story called "The Bird Cafe." Suddenly Ethan looked up and spotted a beautiful tui busily feeding on kowhai nectar. Quietly we crept to the window to watch this hungry bird.
PS: It's very hard to see the tui but it helps if you look for the white tuft of feathers.

Making something beautiful

Last week we made beautiful pictures out of the scraps of paper by the photocopier. This week we searched for coloured paper in the school recycled paper bins and again created something beautiful. We love the "Explorer of the World" challenges that Mrs Stedman sets us.

Rippa Competition at The Stadium

Fynn, Demi and Meg were chosen to be part of the Rippa Competition on Wednesday at the Stadium. We were thrilled that their team got into the semi-finals. What a great effort!

Room 9 Little Theatre with the Penguins

We all enjoyed a new performance this afternoon when the Penguins reading group presented the play, "Boring." The play was followed by some quite tricky questions from the cast. Well done children.

Harold comes visiting

Today it was our turn to visit the Life Education van. We had a wonderful time with Pip learning about the circulatory system. We have another session first thing in the morning. What a great way to learn!
