Fun with tangrams

As part of our geometry work, today we had fun with tangrams. We chose a shape to replicate and set to work. It was not as easy as we thought it would be, but everyone eventually achieved success.

Looking at shapes

We had a busy rotation today in geometry. One group made tangram shapes while another group was playing shape snap. Yet another group was playing guess my shape using play dough and the final part of the rotation was completing an activity naming the sides and vertices of 2D shapes. Thank you Mrs Grace. What fun we had.

A science demonstration today

What a treat we had today. Our science expert led us through a number of activities. We worked hard at making predictions using the "I think ....  because..." formula. We were concentrating on developing our scientific skills. Thank you Hendrica.

It's Jump Jam season again

Today the weather was much cooler so we went to the hall for a Jump Jam session. We had to concentrate and keep up with the video. By the end there were many pink faces and and puffing children. What a good way to have a fitness session .

Dancing on Stilts

We made a stilt dance and we can jump and hop on them. It was fun dancing on the stilts.
Reporter:  Hannah.

Look we can dance on stilts.  How cool is that? We can also spin. It is fun. Do you know how to do it?
Reporter: Pyper

So that is our stilt dance.

The long, hot summer continues

Since we arrived back from the holidays, the weather has been perfect day after day. We usually sit inside for lunch during Term 2 and 3 but on Friday Room 9 and Room 10 couldn't resist sitting outside under our tree.
