As part of our inquiry unit about respecting the sun, Mrs Stedman has a wonderful new challenge for us in the Allen Centre. She showed us how to carefully dissect a flower and find all the parts. We saw the sticky stigma and the stamens and watched as she carefully opened the seed box. Now we can try to do it. But wait there is more! We can use the big models of the parts of the flower and dance to "The waltz of the flowers" music. Some of us have already danced! Thank you, thank you Mrs Stedman!

Wow! Mrs Stedman is an Outram School treasure! You are so lucky to have someone who can explain about seeds and the ✹ and then get you to dance with those giant flower parts.
I hope everyone on earth learns to respect the Sun✹. I feel really tiny and weak when I see it away out there. Soooooo big and burning hot! Arohanui P.E.❀
