Today was Lily's day at assembly!!

WOW!! Lily was given the Room 9 Challenge award for Original and Independent thinking then she had to go back on stage.
Lily won a $50 book voucher for earning the most money in the school Little Einstein quiz, over $200.  Lily also won another $50 book voucher for having the most sponsors - 29!!  She also got a certificate for getting all 55 questions correct in the quiz.  Well done Lily, you are a Room 9 shining star!!

Apple Tree Maths

Look at Krystal and Hartley using an apple tree as a fun way to solve addition. What super stars!!

What a wet lunch!!

Mrs Paterson was on duty today in the wet and boy was she so proud of Room 9. She snuck in the door and quickly took a photo.........we were all happily colouring our Rugby World Cup competition entries.  What a bunch of super kids!!

Creating blossom trees

We are looking at colour mixing for art. Today we looked carefully at the blossom tree outside Room 9 and watched a story online about a Japanese blossom. We then had a go at creating our own blossoms on a pre-printed tree.

Supporting the Cancer Society

Many grumbling tummies signalled it was time for lunch! Our excitement grew and grew..... Suddenly the box appeared! We could hardly hold our excitement as Mrs Paterson and Belinda handed out our special bags. Subway lunch had arrived!

Drawing winter trees

Today we started our winter tree art with Mrs Simpson. We drew what we thought a tree looked like, then went outside and looked at a school tree. Finally we went back out and looked very closely and took photos. I wonder what our final trees will look like?

ANZ Sports Stars

Room 9 is definitely the class to beat!! Anita received the bronze ANZ medal for her effort with running the cross country after her ankle surgery. Hartley received the gold for running the cross country with perseverance and determination. Well done children, what a fabulous effort!!

Readers Theatre

Wahoo was the play presented by the Lions reading group today.
