Working in teams of three we explored what would happen when we combined vinegar and baking soda. To make it more interesting we placed a balloon over the top of the bottle. The chemical reaction between the vinegar and the baking soda resulted in carbon dioxide rising and inflating the balloon. Some groups found that their carbon dioxide escaped while they were trying to pull the balloon on.
