Go Isaac, go!

Our training for the cross country race is getting more serious. Every day we time the race and every day our runners are getting faster. Look at Isaac at the half way mark and he was still going strong at the finish. The big race is on Thursday!

We have pen pals!

We have all got a pen pal from Anderson's Bay School. On Monday we were very excited when we got our first letters. Today we were ready to publish our replies. Your letter looks great Isaac. Anderson's Bay School, your letters will soon be on the way.

The Key Competencies

This term we are focusing on the Key Competency of participating and contributing. First we talked about Gregory Smith the remarkable boy who has made a significant contribution to helping children in need around the world. Next we talked about brilliant Bridgette who is setting up a book swap initiative based on the Lilliput Libraries. The book swap will be open Thursday and Friday. What a great contribution Bridgette! We then talked about the wonderful contribution our parents make to Outram School. We are very excited that the new recipe book will be launched on Sunday. Then we talked about Aleisha Cotton and Kelsey Hoggard and the wonderful contribution they made to some schools in Samoa. We looked at examples around Outram School where we have seen children participating and contributing. This week we looked at the contribution that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is making.
