On Friday Trent brought his bird Tom. I thought it was funny because she was trying to open the lock. When we sang she tried to sing too.
Gosh! Look what Ethan brought in this morning. Ethan and his Dad made this wonderful fish mobile. Come into Room 9 and you will be impressed.
We have begun learning about persuasive writing. We have written about whether we should own dogs or not. Today we wrote about whether we should go to bed when we are told or not! Room 9 was very quiet with two groups working independently. The other group was having a teacher session on different sentence starters. Looks good Ethan.
Every day new books arrive from home on our ocean theme. Thank you Joe, Ethan, Tyla, Jacob and Mason.

This evening we had the Junior Disco in the school hall. We danced, had competitions, listened to the band, played with our glow sticks and nibbled food. Emma took some great photos.
Everywhere there are glorious autumn leaves so we decided to paint some. We went into the Workshop and carefully drew with chalk. Then we carefully chose our colours so that the leaves looked real. Well done Trampus, Mason and Ethan.
Every Wednesday we race to the Allen Centre to meet Mrs Stedman and Mrs Meehan. We choose new books and we discover what new adventure we will be on. Guess what! We are taking old birds' nests apart and we can find out what the birds use, where the nest may have been found and perhaps what sort of bird made it. Fancy making a nest with just your beak!
