This is Mrs Cormack and she has five new kids in her class. They are called Emily and Annie also Luke Fin and Gabby. Some kids still are waiting for their birthday to become five.

Spacecrafts ready for blast off!

First we drew careful plans for our spacecraft and then we built them using a wonderful assortment of materials from the workshop. Mmm .... are they heading to the International Space Station?

This evening, Ella-Rose, Gabby and Joe will present their poems at the Senior Syndicate Speech Night. We know you will be great children!

Gabby loved "Big Bad Bruce"

Big Bad Bruce was good here in the class. I was very excited when we got to hear another story of Bill Peet's. We all now like caring about these books in the class room. We took a class photo of the first one but not the next one. I know why we didn't take a photo of the next one because that the last one was new to read. Now I like reading Bill Peet's stories in the class room. In this story Bruce learnt a lesson about not teasing animals.

Assembly certificates for our cross country champions

Today in assembly Gabby, Riley D, George and Ben got their certificates for being champions at the cross country. They will go to Taieri Beach School for the inter school competition. We will be cheering for you!

Cross Country Champions

Here comes Gabby the first Year 2 girl to finish the race. You are a champion Gabby!

Go Riley go! Racing to finish first in the Year 2 boys race, Riley is the winner. Great running Riley! The whole school took part in the cross country races today. It was hard work.

Brilliant Creations

This week for our "extra for experts" task we experimented to see what we could make out of an egg carton. Well done children.

From Trash to Treasure

What could you make out of a plastic bottle? Look at these treasures! Ella-Rose made a vase and a funnel. Gabby and Riley made plant holders and Tyla made a buzzing bee. This week our challenge is to turn egg cartons into treasure.

Disco Dancing

Tyla did some terrific dancing and enjoyed playing with her glow stick.
Gabby and Kezia were judged the best in the pairs dancing. You were great girls. We wonder what was inside your prize bag.
Ethan brought his guitar and joined with the band while they were playing. Good chord work Ethan.
Everyone looked brilliant in their disco dancing clothes. Wow look at that hair!
This evening we had the Junior Disco in the school hall. We danced, had competitions, listened to the band, played with our glow sticks and nibbled food. Emma took some great photos.

Keep Outram School rubbish free

Today Gabby arrived with a song that she has written that asks us to keep our school litter free. We all sang it to the tune of Jingle Bells. We all felt very special having a brand new song today.

Gabby's prepared talk

Gabby's Mum and Dad came to listen to to her prepared talk today. She told us all about her new baby that will be born later in the year. It was a great talk Gabby.

Scientist Sean shares with the class

Scientist Sean has moved on from bouncing eggs to bottle gardens. Tyla, Gabby and Annalise loved hearing Sean talk about his project. Thank you Sean.
