Wet lunch times are happy lunchtimes in Room 9

We are never bored in Room 9 when we have a wet lunch time. Elizabeth, Logan and Cierra built this huge tower. Can anyone build a taller tower? Happy holidays everyone.

Decidedly different daffodils!

Have you ever seen daffodils that looked like this? And what about blue blossom? The dye travelled up the stalks to the very tips of the petals. Why do you think the camellia is taking longer to change colour?

Successful sunflower seedlings

All of our sunflower seeds have germinated. On Friday we will take our sunflowers home and find somewhere to plant them. We might be able to email photos to Room 9 so that we can see each other's sunflowers as they grow. We love spring!

What's This Hole Doing Here?!

What is going on? Thanks to the parents who helped at the working bee we now have a new long jump pit. There is more sand needed but we can't wait to try the new pit.

Look what has grown out from the centre of our mystery plant - a huge flower! Four big leaves and a beautiful flower have grown from one bud! Isn't that amazing!

Extra for Experts

Every week we have an optional Extra for Experts activity in our homework. This term we have been looking at the countries Mrs Wright visited on her big trip. America was the last country to visit. Look at the wonderful work that was shared on Friday. We all feel like travel experts.

Golly what great guitar players!

The guitar group meets every Wednesday lunch time. There are seventeen children from Room 9 and Room 10 in the group and they are terrific. We have learnt A chord and E7 chord. Soon we will play in assembly!

Seeds are Growing!

Oh gosh! We only put these seeds out yesterday and already they are beginning to grow. We can see tiny roots coming out of the cress. Everything loves to grow in Spring.

They just keep getting bigger

We have been watching some buds open. This morning we were amazed to see how big the leaves have become. We still don't know what is growing up in the middle of the bud. We will keep watching!

Gymnastics is great

Every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we have gymnastics in the hall. Caitlin is learning to do a side vault. We are working hard at our landing technique. Well done everyone!
