We gathered outside this morning to take part in another cause and effect experiment. We wrapped baking soda in a paper towel and made a small parcel. We then put vinegar into a snap lock plastic bag and closed the bag. Finally we slipped the baking soda into the bag, gave it a shake and watched. The combination of the vinegar and baking soda made carbon dioxide which inflated the bag.

This afternoon two reading groups presented plays in the Room 9 Little Theatre. First the Polar Bears presented "Mr Bear squash you all flat" which made us all laugh and laugh. Then the Seals presented "What's the time Mr Wolf?" They asked some excellent questions afterwards.

Gabby was bouncing on the trampoline when she had a fall. We listened in silence as she told us her story. She was admitted to hospital and needed to have surgery. We had so many questions to ask and we all thought she was very brave. Thank you for coming Gabby.
We took containers, cardboard and water outside and gathered under the walnut trees. Carefully we half-filled the containers with water and placed the card on top. We then turned the container upside down and held it by the top. Look what happened! We were very surprised. The air pressure outside the container is stronger than the weight of the water and this keeps the card in place.
