Great Big Buddy Time

We have such fun with big buddy time. Today it was co-operation games again. The big buddies had to get the little buddies to the end of the hall as quickly as they could while dragging a hoop. The girls won again. Great co-operation!

Of course it's good

"Of course it's good," said Zeke. "My Mum made it."

I really like it

"I really like it," said Connor. "I'm going to have some more,"

And now everything is ready

Mmmm! It looks interesting! There is plenty of sushi, soya sauce, wasabi and ginger. Help yourself children.

Nearly ready to eat

When all the sushi rolls were made the sushi was cut into wheel shapes. Mrs Buschl told us about wasabi and ginger. Some of us are still not sure if we will try it!

Many hands make light work

We had to carefully roll up the sushi. Some of us were not sure that we would like it! Fancy eating seaweed!

Sushi success

Today Mrs Buschl showed us how to make sushi as part of our study on Japan. Caitlin, Amy, Brianna and Mika look like experts already.

Isla dresses in traditional Japanese clothes

Nonoko and Mihu brought Japanese clothes to school. Isla and Mrs Bayne dressed up in them. How beautiful you look Isla.

Japanese visitors

Today Mihu and Nonoko came to visit us. They showed us how to do origami and Japanese calligraphy. In the afternoon Room 2 joined us as we asked all our questions. They even played their violins to us.

Brilliant Big Buddy time

Big Buddy time with Mr Martin is such fun . Look at this great game using co-operation skills. Room 9 children were passed carefully down the line. The girls' team won both challenges. Great co-operation girls.

Blisters!

Poor Caitlin worked so hard in the house rugby league competition that she got blisters. What a huge effort Caitlin. You are a champion!

Rugby League House Final Champions

We had a  close final between Manapouri and Wakatipu in our rugby league competition.  Manapouri won with 22 - 17. It was a very close game. We were very proud of Logan, Ashleigh and Caitlin who were in the teams. They were exhausted.
