An xray for Emma

This morning Emma brought along a photo of the xray of her sore thumb. How strange that Emma was reading a story called, "Bones on the mend" in her reading group today. We are very glad that your thumb is not broken!

Ben you are brilliant!

Ben arrived this morning with his guitar and a brand new song that he had made up. We loved singing it with you Ben. Thank you very much!

Bending and stretching

This term we are developing our flexibility in fitness each morning. This will help us when gymnastics starts later in the term. Looks great children.

What a way to start the day!

Our inquiry unit this term is "Oceans Alive - respecting our oceans." This morning when we arrived in the classroom the Ocean Deep section of the Planet earth DVD was playing. What a lot of talking and thinking we did before school even started!

Gabby loved "Big Bad Bruce"

Big Bad Bruce was good here in the class. I was very excited when we got to hear another story of Bill Peet's. We all now like caring about these books in the class room. We took a class photo of the first one but not the next one. I know why we didn't take a photo of the next one because that the last one was new to read. Now I like reading Bill Peet's stories in the class room. In this story Bruce learnt a lesson about not teasing animals.

Let's see if skipping is as easy as Kimberly makes it look

This morning Kimberly showed us her brilliant skipping. It looked so easy. This afternoon everyone wanted to have a go but it was surprisingly difficult. We know that if at first we don't succeed, try and try again!

Our first Bill Peat story

Today we had the book Hubert's hair raising adventure. I thought it was funny and silly . Hubert lost his hair when a spark flew into it. He ran into the water and when he came up he had no hair. The elephant helped him. I liked this story.
