We are ready to build

Today in the Allen Centre, Mrs Stedman showed us how to build with spills. It was very exciting. Tomorrow we start building. We have made a large collection of spills. I hope there will be enough.

A Skeleton Puzzle

Today Syndicate Sport was cancelled because of rain so we had half an hour before syndicate singing to try the skeleton game. We each cut out the pieces and then made groups of four. If we rolled a 6 on the dice we could take a skull. We kept rolling the dice to see who would have a whole skeleton first.

This morning

This morning Olivia arrived with a collection of spills that she had made at home. These will be very useful when we start building on Friday. Later in the morning, Jaime, Demi and Bella demonstrated great co-operation as they completed the place value elephants challenge.

Working together

We spent the first few weeks of term thinking about working together as a class. Now we are looking at how the bones in our body work together so that we can live. Mmm I wonder how many bones there are altogether.

Explorer of the World continues

Last week we explored texture by taking crayon rubbings both inside and outside the classroom. Today we chose our three favourite rubbings to glue in our Explorer book. Now we are making a collage picture with the rest of our crayon rubbings.

Room 9 shines at assembly today

Today it was out turn to present an item at assembly. Our theme was "Working together." We demonstrated what can be achieved though working together -

1.   Crazy walking
2.   Keeping a balloon in the air
3.   Walking across a bridge above shark infested waters.
4.   Tug of war

We also shared our Flower Show art. Finally we sang two songs, finishing with a round "Cooee" led by Olivia and Meg.  Well done everyone!
