A group of senior students have made real rockets so we went out on to the field again to watch the launching. They were brilliant as they shot up into space and we watched in wonderment as a parachute appeared and floated gently back to school. We were so pleased that Jason was able to come to Room 9 and explain the rocket making to us. What a day!

My rocket went as high as the rugby post. It nearly got the post.
Fynn is our new Syndicate Superstar. He is a wonderful role model in Room 9 and a very hard worker. What a great effort with your assembly item recount this morning. Well done Fynn!
We are a Year 2/3 class and we go to Outram School. Our teacher is Mrs Wright. Outram School is on the Taieri Plains, about 30 minutes from Dunedin New Zealand. We are such a cool class!
We have a new challenge for the first five weeks of the year - curiosity and wonderment. Last week we talked about the ostrich with it's incredible speed but very small brain. This week Oscar showed us the meteorite he found at the Outram Glen. He thinks it has come all the way from Jupiter! Your challenge children is to find something curious and full of wonderment to share with us.
