Some living creatures travel to warmer places during winter. This is called migrating. We read about the godwit that flies 11,000km from NZ to Alaska to escape from winter! We decided to be godwits and flew all the way to the end of the rugby field. By the time we had flown back to Room 9 we were exhausted. How does the godwit do it?

It was hard work. I got exhausted.
It was very hard. I stopped flapping my wings. It was hard.

This is the whole Junior syndicate doing some exercise . Because we want to be very fit. And there is a flexible thing coming up.

Oh it was you, Room 9! I was very excited when I saw a flock of huge birds flying past my gate. Luckily for you, I had just eaten.

Dear Pirate the cat
We are very glad that you had eaten your dinner. Being a migrating godwit seems to be dangerous.
Love from Room 9
We had fun migrating but us godwits wings were tired. If pirate the cat hadn't eaten his dinner he might have eaten us.
It was very hard flying all the way from Room9 to the rugby post and back.
