As part of our mixing and melting science unit we have been mixing paints. We shared our work in assembly and even invited some of our big buddies to come and try to paint our made up colours. We finished our item by singing Jamaican Farewell and Linstead Market.

Ginger Cat and I have been doing mixing experiments too. I've been mixing cat biscuits and water. It makes a very unpleasant sludge. (Would you mind cleaning out our water bowl, Laurie?)
Ginger has been mixing bits of birds and mice under your bed, Laurie. He says he's trying to construct a flying mouse, but all he's actually made is a terrible mess. He says he might get the hot glue gun out, and see whether that will work. I guess that would be a melting and mixing experiment. I don't suppose you want him to bring it over to the classroom when he's finished? It doesn't smell very nice.
