Today at lunch time Mr Martin organised the final rugby league match, Year 8 versus the rest of the school. It was a very exciting game. Thank you Mr Martin for all the lunch time sports activities you have led.
Our senior students very kindly set up an obstacle course for the Junior Syndicate to use at lunch time. Logan leads the way through the course. Outram School is the best!
This afternoon we had the water slide to beat all water slides. Huge sheets of back plastic covered a slope and water from two fire engines poured down the slope. The whole school walked down to the rugby field to take part. It was terrific!
Finn has worked hard all year at the Allen Centre Wiki Challenges. Today he was awarded a prize by Mrs Stedman for being the highest achiever. Look at his great prizes. Well done Finn!
The game is called "Drive ya nuts." You have to match all the numbers and it is very VERY difficult. Clever Shakera managed to match six pieces. Who can match all seven pieces?
We have another new photo of Pirate the cat. This time he is helping Josie tidy up the sandpit! Do you think cats get excited about Christmas? Think about being a cat and put on your black and yellow thinking hats. What are some of the really good things about being a cat? Now what are the bad things about being a cat?
We have been experimenting with mixing ,melting and dissolving. I wanted to see if I could get the salt back after we dissolved it in water. I poured salty water into four bowls and I am waiting to see what will happen when the water evaporates.
Today the School Council organized a Retro Day. Caitlin came as Michael Jackson. Isla came as Little Miss Naughty. Kayleigh came as Cher and Cierra dressed up. Connor came as a sports star. Everyone bought tins of food for the food bank.
We love getting messages from Pirate the cat and now we have a new photo of him. What a handsome cat he is. Have you still got questions or comments for Pirate? We think you are the best Pirate.
We are so proud of you Izaiah. You have accepted the challenge and look at you now. Look at your straight arms and your head under the water. Do you think you can get your legs straight?
Today the Gardening Club harvested their strawberry, potato and silver beet crops. These Room 9 gardeners are taking home big bags of fresh vegetables. Perhaps the gardeners could tell us what the vegetables tasted like.
Alex and Trevor have been a wonderful team leading our Gardening Club. Week by week the children have worked with them. Thank you so much. What would we do without you!
This morning we saw that the soccer field was being ploughed up by Mr Doherty. Now our field will be as flat as a table. Thank you Hayden for helping us.
