Amy and her family gathered with some friends in the playground to enjoy a picnic after school today. Gosh, the summer holidays are nearly here and the sun is shining. Can you see another Room 9 star in the photo?

Before you rush off into the summer holidays I just wanted to thank you all for the work you've done on this blog: thanks to all the photographers, reporters, webmasters - in fact the whole of Room Nine with Mrs Wright - for letting the world know what a Year 2/3 classroom in New Zealand can be like. I hope you keep on singing, playing your guitars, swimming, reading your favourite books - as well as some new ones. And I bet all all the model makers and artists have heaps of ideas for rainy days, too. I wish you all a very happy time with your families over the next few weeks. Room Nine of 2009 you certainly shine!

Hey!!! That looks like a good picnic you guys are having there! Who's sitting with little sidnee there!
Lovely to see you all enjoying the sunshine. It's snowing here in England at this moment.
Can we borrow some of your sunshine?

IT is nice when it is summer because you can lay in the sun forever and ever .
