A Quiz

Yesterday I drove 290 km to the largest lake in the South Island.
1. Can you name the lake?
2. What does the name mean?
3. In 1948 an extinct bird was found near here in the Murchison Mountains. Can you name the bird and the man who found them.

It is Lake Te Anau

It means "cave of rushing water"

The Takahe was thought to be extinct until it was found near there in 1948.

We like it at Te Anau
