Today we walked around the Doha Souq. The Souq is an old market place where you can buy anything from spices, to falcons (birds not cars). One part was the pet area and that's where I met this beautiful parrot. Today it was 47 degrees which was very very hot indeed. I wonder what the temperature will be at Momona airport. See you soon.

A new friend

Wow, Mrs Wright, this bird is a macaw.
It has a couple of cousins in the aviary at the Dunedin Botanic Garden, with the same Highlander colours!
Room 9, you might be able to find out how clever these parrots are.
Isn't it amazing that a bird that can live in very hot Doha can also live in coolish Dunedin?
