What a busy day!

It was great to get new library books in the Allen Centre today. At lunch time there was a lot of activity with the Garden Club. What were you doing girls? After lunch we had a really good practice for assembly tomorrow. We hope you are coming. Finally at the end of the day we had a session of patter tennis. Our class big buddies were a great help and gave some very positive feed back!

The Key Competencies

This term we are focusing on the Key Competency of participating and contributing. First we talked about Gregory Smith the remarkable boy who has made a significant contribution to helping children in need around the world. Next we talked about brilliant Bridgette who is setting up a book swap initiative based on the Lilliput Libraries. The book swap will be open Thursday and Friday. What a great contribution Bridgette! We then talked about the wonderful contribution our parents make to Outram School. We are very excited that the new recipe book will be launched on Sunday. Then we talked about Aleisha Cotton and Kelsey Hoggard and the wonderful contribution they made to some schools in Samoa. We looked at examples around Outram School where we have seen children participating and contributing. This week we looked at the contribution that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is making.
