Stewart Island






Last weekend I flew down to Stewart Island in a tiny plane. Gosh what a beautiful island and what amazing birds everywhere. Can you name the birds in these photos?  Have a read of the information sheet and add a new fact to this post. Most people come to Stewart Island from hiking and bird watching.

In Maori Stewart Island is known as Rakiura which means the land of glowing skies.
