The riverbank is not usually accessible for walking as parts of it are privately owned. This weekend the Taieri Lions, along with the kind land owners, opened up the land and ran the walk as a charity fundraising event. The walk started at the Rugby Club and then everyone joined the riverbank just down from the Outram Glen. We walked along the bank to Allanton. Look who Mrs Grace bumped into:
Tayla was doing the walk with her mum and a group of friends to support a family friend who had a kidney transplant last year. Here is Tayla with her mum in their tee-shirts:
Good job Tayla that's two 9km walks in three days!
