A glorious day at Orokonui

The weather was perfect for our Orokonui trip today. We were greeted and welcomed by Tahu, Nathan, Alistair and Max. We  divided into two groups and passed through the predator proof fence and into the ecosanctuary. It was thrilling to watch tui, bellbird and kaka feeding. We watched takahe walking calmly nearby and spotted skinks basking in the sun. Nathan showed us how they trap predators. What a wonderful day we had!

Wow! Such stunning photos Mrs Wright!
Rakai's Dad showed us just how long 7m of poo is, that's a lot of poo! That's for sure!
A great learning experience for us all.
