A new Hawaiian friend

Hayley Ukulele has come all the way from Hawaii to live in Room 9. In Hawaiian, ukulele means "jumping flee." Why do you think this is so?

I am not sure why it means jumping flee, but its made me think, the best thing that I can think of is the sound that it makes or the way that you pick the Ukelele, because you do pick the string quite quickly. Love the photographs that go with the description. Wonderful blog too. No one you have had so many visitors.
