What has been hibernating in my compost heap? There has been lots of guesses. It is not worms, rats or mice, hedgehogs, kiwis, spiders, birds, or porcupines. I went back to the compost heap and gently brushed the leaves away with my broom. Oh dear! What a commotion! Look carefully at my photo and you might see what was angry about being disturbed.

What is happening in the compost? A clue!
What has been hibernating in my compost heap? There has been lots of guesses. It is not worms, rats or mice, hedgehogs, kiwis, spiders, birds, or porcupines.
